Configure Snapshot Governance Tokens

This is how Organizations can configure Voting Power to be calculated for Polls and Bounties.

Step 0: Make sure you are an Organization Admin. If you are not an Organization Admin, but you think you should be, ask one of the existing Admins to add you.

Step 1: Go to the Admin page, and in the Snapshot Governance Tokens Widget, click 'Edit'

Step 2: Add, edit or remove Governance Tokens.

Adding a Governance Token

At the top of the 'Edit Snapshot Governance Tokens' popup, click 'Add token'. Fill out the fields for the new token.

Policy Id: The policy Id of the asset to add. Need help finding a Policy Id? Check here.

Weight: The weight to be applied to this governance token. This can be used to make certain tokens more valuable than others in terms of Governance power.

Scale: Choose whether power from this token should be calculated linearly or quadratically.

Voting power calculations

Linear: (# GT held) * Scale = Voting Power

Quadratic: sqrt(# GT Held) * Scale = Voting Power

Click 'Add', added Policy Ids will appear as pictured below.

Editing a Governance Token:

In the 'Edit Snapshot Governance Tokens', find the Token to edit. Click the edit icon on that token.

Once the changes have been made, click 'Save'

Removing a Governance Token:

In the 'Edit Snapshot Governance Tokens', find the Token to remove. Click the delete icon on that token.

Step 3: Click 'Submit' and sign the message.

Note: No changes (adding/editing/removing Governance Tokens) will be permanently saved until you have Submitted them.
